Pooja is currently a PhD student in the Skoglund Laboratory working to identify ancient pathogens in human remains to see how they have evolved through time. 

 

Previously, Pooja studied at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (2017) where she completed an MSc in Control of Infectious Diseases, working on a project to develop a mitochondrial barcode for Plasmodium vivax infections worldwide. 

 

Pooja has also completed a BSc in Archaeological, Anthropological and Forensic Sciences from Bournemouth University (2014).
